EZOZ is a shipping app. It connects your Shopify store to your own shipping account with a carrier, such as an Australia Post eParcel contract. EZOZ is not a carrier and doesn't sell postage.
Two separate charges
- EZOZ's plan, for using the app. The Free plan costs nothing; paid plans are billed by Shopify on your Shopify invoice, after a 30-day free trial. See Pricing.
- Postage, for sending your parcels. Your carrier bills it directly, on your own account with them, at the rates you've agreed with them. For example, Australia Post bills the labels you make in EZOZ on your eParcel contract, and you buy prepaid satchels from Australia Post.
Why postage isn't paid through EZOZ
Each label is made on your carrier account, so the carrier charges that account. EZOZ never receives, holds or passes on postage payments, and has no way to collect them. Expect your carrier's invoices for postage as well as your EZOZ plan.
What your customers pay
The shipping price your customers see at checkout comes from your carrier's rates, plus any markup you set in EZOZ. They pay it to you with their order, like the rest of the order. EZOZ doesn't take a share of it.
Getting a carrier account
To use EZOZ you need an account with your carrier. For Australia Post that's an eParcel contract, which you apply for with Australia Post. Australia Post approves the contract and sets its rates, not EZOZ. Once it's approved, you connect it in EZOZ with the API key, password and account number from Australia Post's Developer Centre. Our eParcel guide walks through it.
